Traveter Grupp carried out the reconstruction of the load-bearing structures of the office building at Tehnika 11 in Märjamaa. The aim was to increase the load-bearing capacity of the columns in the canopy section of the building, extend the service life of the structures and reconstruct the main entrance in accordance with the detailed design.

Before the reconstruction, the load-bearing structures of the building were supported with temporary props to ensure the safety of the works and the stability of the structures throughout the construction process. The damaged reinforced concrete columns were then reconstructed: they were given additional reinforcement and concreted using shotcrete technology, which increased their load-bearing capacity and extended the service life of the existing columns.

In addition to strengthening the columns, we reconstructed the main entrance of the building, including a new stair platform and an accessibility ramp. The underside of the canopy section was insulated with 200 mm of closed-cell PUR foam, mineral wool was used for fire safety, and the finish consists of fire-resistant fibre cement boards painted to match the architecture of the building. The electrical and lighting systems of the entrance were also renovated and new LED lighting was installed.
