Strengthening and waterproofing of a limestone foundation

Strengthening of a limestone foundation

The foundation of the Kehtna Manor building needed strengthening, and the construction design also called for waterproofing and insulating the foundation. The limestone foundation was strengthened and levelled with sprayed concrete, i.e. shotcrete. A thick-layer Combiflex-C2/S waterproofing was applied to the foundation. This was followed by the installation of thermal insulation on the foundation, using 150 mm Finnfoam FL-300. The below-ground part of the insulation was covered with a Delta Terraxx drainage mat to direct initial rainwater away from the building foundation.

Materials were supplied by Primostar OÜ.
